We are in the midst of a great reformation! God has been sovereignly moving to restore the offices of apostle and prophet to us which, according to Ephesians 2:20, are the very foundation of the church. But as those who are called to be God's apostles and prophets in today's church attempt to relate to one another, their efforts are often met with pain, frustration, and misunderstanding. In addition, pastors are also often at a loss for knowing how they should relate to apostles and apostolic teams. In this book, Jim Laffoon takes an honest look at the problems within these relationships and offers sound and practical guidelines for moving beyond the barriers into the fruitful, divine alliance that God needs to build His church and fulfill the Great Commission.

Jim Laffoon

Jim Laffoon serves on both the North American and International Leadership teams of Every Nation Churches. He is also the International Director of the Schools of Empowerment. Jim and his wife Cathy have been happily married for 39 years, and they currently live in Franklin, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. They travel across the United States and around the world, ministering prophetically and pastoring leaders.

God uses diverse friendships to fulfill his miraculous will in the world.

In an increasingly polarized world, our collective ability to navigate friendships with people whose backgrounds, experiences, and views differ from our own has diminished. Along the way, valuing diversity has come to be seen by many Christians as a secular pursuit. However, we love and serve a diverse God (being three unique persons himself) who taught us to love those we tend to have a hard time loving: outsiders, enemies, foreigners, the poor, and the weak.

In Friendship Can Save the World, Carrie and Morgan Stephens offer an invigorating retelling of Ruth, Boaz, and Naomi to help us love people unlike us. Weaving in real life stories from their multiethnic, multigenerational, and socioeconomically diverse church, they highlight the power of unique friendships in God’s greater missional story. Readers will find inspiration to love and be loved more courageously as we all forge a path into a more redemptive future.

There is an ongoing narrative that has often been taken as truth in the Body of Christ: "Black people will follow a White pastor but White people will never follow a Black pastor." This book acknowledges the history from which this narrative came while looking to push a new narrative where the whole Body of Christ can benefit from the gift of Black leadership. Many books have asked, "How do we see diversity in the pews?" But this book looks to see diversity in the pulpits and leadership rooms of these churches.

"Shake off rote religiosity and tribalism with a spicy bite of God’s truth seasoned with an authentic connection to his love and his people.

“Let me do something for you.”
Carrie Stephens offers these words of hope from the heart of God in Jesus, Love, & Tacos as she uses vibrant metaphors and comical self-deprecation to tell the story of lordship, community, and mission. These three ancient values will offer you help and hope as they shape your spiritual life, define how to gather in unity, and lead you to God’s missional love in action.

In the face of fear, sickness, and increasing polarization, Carrie provides a fresh encounter with the lordship of Jesus to right-size your expectations and transform your view of your life.

By looking at the example of the early church, you’ll find yourself brave enough to swallow your insecurities and forge ahead into the sometimes-painful world of the Church where healing and life happen through God’s faithfulness.

In this world of never-ending suffering and neediness, reconsider the call to missional living afresh. Living with a mission will reinvigorate your connection to God and others, where you’ll find unexpected meaning and surprising opportunities.

When you reach for the plates of truth and grace offered in these pages, you’ll reconnect with a God beyond your comprehension who is intimately involved in the details of your life."

Have you ever felt on the edge, alone, down and out,
or maybe wondered what in the world God can do with someone like you?

Sometimes you wake up feeling less than great about your life. Or your relationships. Or your job. Or your whatever.

Sometimes you even feel pushed to the side, put on the shelf, overlooked, and not particularly important to, well, anything.

Sometimes, you feel even less important. . .than a side of rice and beans. (You know, kind of like that stuff served on the side that no one really asked for?)

What if you found out you were something more like tableside guacamole—that fancy kind they wheel up to the table and make right on the spot?

What if you were made on purpose,
for a purpose that can release God’s glorious colors and flavors in the world?

You didn’t arrive here by accident, nor have you been served up as an unwanted side dish. The God of creation has created you, and He isn't waiting for you to become some better version of yourself so He can finally love you. . .or use you. . .or delight in you.

Generously seasoned with humor and empathy, with stories of triumph, failure, heartbreak, and redemption, Holy Guacamole will connect your heart to the unchanging truths of God’s Word and the unfailing power of God’s call to live a life full of His love for you and for the world.

God longs to reveal to you all the ways you are His beautiful, flavorful, colorful creation. Let Him show you all the ways you are Holy Guacamole—His masterpiece, His signature offering to a world in need of His love.

Did Jesus Really Exist?

The search for the historical Jesus continues to be headline news. Any speculative theory seems to get instant attention as the debate rages about His real identity and the claims made in His name. Did Jesus really exist? Is there real historical evidence that demonstrates that He lived and actually said and did the things the Gospels record? Is there any validity to the speculative claims that the Jesus story was a myth, borrowed from a variety of pagan cultures of the ancient world?

In this follow-up to the book God’s Not Dead (that inspired the movie), Man, Myth, Messiah looks at the evidence for the historical Jesus and exposes the notions of skeptics that Jesus was a contrived figure of ancient mythology. It also looks at the reliability of the Gospel records as well as the evidence for the resurrection that validates His identity as the promised Messiah. Man, Myth, Messiah released on March 1st, concurrent to the God’s Not Dead movie sequel, which covers the same theme.
