Why Social Responsibility?

We are committed to social responsibility because Jesus calls us to serve the least of these.

‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ —  Matthew 25:35,40

We are committed to social responsibility because Jesus calls us to be salt and light in our communities.

‘You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden…  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’ —  Matthew 5:13,14,16

We are committed to social responsibility because God calls us to stand for justice.

‘He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.  And what does the LORD require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.’ —  Micah 6:8

How Every Nation Practices Social Responsibility:

• We practice social responsibility by serving the poor and marginalized in our communities and cities.
• We practice social responsibility by providing educational assistance to underprivileged youth.
• We pursue social responsibility through compassionate service and by promoting justice in our diverse cultural and political contexts.
