The School of World Missions—Manila is a five-month intensive leadership course designed to provide training for future pastors, church planters, and cross-cultural missionaries. This course equips students in the biblical, theological, and ministry foundations vital for effective church and ministry leadership.
Currently, the School works in partnership with the Asian Theological Seminary, one of the finest seminaries in Asia, providing holistic theological and practical training in campus ministry, church planting, and world missions.
The School serves as a training institution for those called to cross-cultural ministry, whether in a campus ministry or church planting setting. Since its inception in 1993, the School has trained Filipino and international students who are now serving in the mission fields of many nations, including Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Saipan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
The Training
The educational paradigm of the School differs considerably from the traditional academic models based exclusively on a classroom format. Rather, it integrates a variety of ministerial hands-on training and exposures such as short-term mission outreaches, local church involvement, preaching clinics, and other learning activities indispensable for effective ministry leadership.
Graduates receive a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from the Every Nation School of World Missions and a Graduate Diploma in Intercultural & Urban Studies from the Asian Theological Seminary.
This 2008-2009 School of World Missions runs from October 2008 thru February 2009. The deadline for applications is March 3, 2008.
