Every Nation Mobilizing to Aid Haiti

Devastation in Haiti

Every Nation is now partnering with Gerald Bataille Ministries in Haiti for relief efforts to the earthquake-shattered nation.

Pastor Ron Lewis with King's Park International Church, and Wayne Graham with Strategic Global Initiatives forged a relationship with Pastor Gerald through his son Junior. Bataille is a former member of KPIC and a graduate from the Duke University who now serves with his father in Port-au-Prince.

Junior, Pastor Gerald, and his church members - 30,000 in twenty congregations - have set up a relief and triage station at their church facility where they will minister physically, emotionally and spiritually to the Haitian people.

If churches or individuals would like to contribute financially to this project, they may give online at the Every Nation Ministries or the strategic Global Initiatives websites. If you know of doctors or other specialists in relief/disaster response, please contact Wayne Graham by Turn on JavaScript! or by phone at 800-644-9140.

Camping in the open

Every Nation Ministries has added an option for online donations to its online-giving website. Using this link (www.everynation.org/haiti) will preset the site for Haiti Earthquake Relief. One-hundred percent of donations will go to Haiti for aid.

Ten Days Mission Experiences is working with KPIC and Campus Harvest staff to plan early to send  typical short-term mission teams to the country. Watch for more information as these trips are organized.

KPIC Mission Team Tells Their Story

Mission team on the ground

The mission team on the ground when the 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti are now back in North Carolina and telling their story. This past Sunday, Linda Graham, Lisa Lewis, and Kellee Metty shared with the King's Park congregation their unexpected ministry to the people of Port-au-Prince -- ministry that included delivering two babies.

A man whose wife was in labor rushed over to the group and said, "You have to come!"

The team insisted that they were not qualified, but the man urged them all the more. Linda Graham, a mother of two, rose to the challenge. "At least I've experienced it. I thought, I can do it." And she did. Twice.

To watch the team tell their deeply inspiring story, see the KPIC-produced "Haiti Homecoming" video of their Sunday service. To read more about the team's experience, see these articles in the Raleigh News & Observer and by Lee Grady in his Charisma column.
