Monterrey, Mexico

Julio and Sylvia Ceron

The first Every Nation church in Mexico,  being led by Julio Ceron and his wife, Sylvia,  is located in Monterrey -- the country's third largest city and the center of education, trade and industry.

Pastor Julio shares, “Sylvia and I arrived in Monterrey in October 2007 and we started the work here together with Ali Alvarez, Pablo Caballero, Darcy Hagan and Oscar Jimenez."

Our church in Mexico has been meeting every Sunday morning, since October 2008, for worship services at the Holiday Inn in Monterrey South.  In December 2008, Every Nation Monterrey received the church association and was accepted as Todas Las Naciones by the Mexican government.

Grupos Vida

Currently, our church in Mexico has 4 Life Groups called Grupos Vida. The outreach groups for adults meet on Wednesday and Thursday nights with about 23 regular attendees. The outreach group for students meets on Thursday nights with 7 regular attendees who are university students while the outreach group for young professionals meets on Friday nights.

Passion for the lost

Pastor Julio shares, “Our work on campus began as an outreach group with four non-believers; once a month we conduct teaching sessions with the students  that we strategically use as a net to build relationships with the students as well as their families and friends. Recently, a lawyer named Diana Gatica, and her entire family, started to attend our Life Group and Sunday church services. Two Sundays ago, Diana, her mom and sister gave their lives to the Lord. She is so on fire and she is now reaching out to other lawyers and friends."

About Our Missionaries

Since 1997, Pastor Julio has been waiting for the best time to start reaching Mexico with the Gospel but it was only after 10 years that it was made clear to him through prayer that Monterrey was the place to begin. Before Mexico, Julio and Sylvia had been on the mission field for two years in Lima, Peru, 3 years in San Jose, Costa Rica and 2 years in Tampa, Florida. Pastor Julio shares, "These past months have been times of joy and thankfulness to the great things God does through His people.”
