Every Nation Church, Seoul
Every Nation Korea started out of a small group. The church was officially planted when Simon and Kristen Suh arrived in Seoul in 2004. The Suhs were on staff at King's Park International Church in North Carolina before moving to South Korea.
Since then, the church has been reaching the campuses of South Korea through an English club. Students are given free English conversation classes with an emphasis on character development through life skills and biblical principles. The English club is envisioned to reach not just campuses across Seoul but other cities in South Korea. Kristen shares, "We provide a non-competitive, non-threatening environment for the students, which is so inviting for the students who are constantly under pressure to succeed." One student attends the English club to hear the devotional that is shared after the lesson. "She said she doesn't know God yet but feels good whenever she hears about Him."
Not only are the campuses of South Korea being reached through the English Club, but orphaned children are too through an orphanage that cares for the children of North Korean women who have been sent back north and presumed dead. The church also has several other undisclosed ministries to its northern neighbor. Every Nation Church of Korea has two worship services on Sundays: one in Korean at 11AM and an English service at 3PM. Sixty members attend regularly, with half of them in their 20s; small groups are held during the week.
