We’ve long had aspirations of ministering to college students full-time on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). However, we had no vehicle with which to accomplish this goal. It was not until we were introduced to Pastor Brett Fuller and AARM that the dream became a reality. Thanks to this visionary and resource ministry, we are now ministering full time to HBCUs.

When AARM linked with the campus ministry at Jarvis, the impact was immediate and profound. Their partnership has meant spiritual, educational, financial resources to help us “raise up” a ministry that is making a difference that only the Gospel can make. The ministry of the college is the responsibility of the student. AARM is right there, helping them shoulder that load..

AARM has impacted me tremendously. This summer I had the opportunity to attend the first ever AARM HBCU conference. There I meet ministers, students, and former students of historically black colleges from around the nation. At the conference my vision for the HBCU where I will be working as a campus minister was sharpened, and my heart enlarged for the people. AARM also blessed me financially and was a huge reason I was able to go through ministry training. AARM certainly is a blessing.

Being a member of the campus ministry enriched my christian life tremendously as I was discipled and equipped to reach my school peers and beyond. I will always cherish my experience because of the knowledge gained, spiritual growth and practical leadership skills I developed during the process. The campus presents an avenue where you can either build or mar your life and I am glad I had leaders to help me with my spiritual life.

AARM was instrumental in helping Jarvis at the National Alumni Council -UNCF Conference to connect with other young people who are trying to cultivate character and dreams. When they say they are here to link up resources with needs on the HBCUs, they mean it.

At AARM’s “103 Conference”, I got a chance to build important relationships, nationally and internationally. The Hip-Hop session helped me realized that AARM is concerned about “our voice” as young ministers trying to reach our generation’s needs on the HBCU campus. It was life changing.
