Establishing a Center for Reconciliation

Giving rise to the mission of AARM is a deeper, underlying vision for the well-being of America as a whole.

While matters of racism and civil rights have been confronted in our nation, the meaning and implications of reconciliation have been largely overlooked or avoided. The division between black and white is more social than economic; it reaches deeper than issues of equal opportunity and fairness.

Reconciliation addresses our racial divide at its vital, spiritual core. The message of reconciliation and the practical steps leading to it must be defined and articulated.

Corresponding strategies need to be developed that will inform business, government policy, and social disclosure.

The moral and ethical high ground of reconciliation needs to be set forth and the practical steps which will bring it about enumerated.

To this end, AARM seeks to establish a Center for Reconciliation strategies — a think tank that will promote and shape this direction for vital social change over the next two decades.
